What should I consider when building out a fully sustainable supply chain?

Gearing up for an eco-friendly line is something all companies can build towards; our world depends on it. Besides conveying a strong marketing message and reducing the carbon footprint, the use of a fully sustainable, refillable supply chain can improve your bottom line.

In order to achieve that goal, it’s important that the team understand the limits of this based on their product. There are applications ranging from post-consumer resin to sugarcane to biodegradable materials that exist today but may react poorly to your product, require higher MOQs, or cost more.

Other components to consider when building a sustainable supply chain include:

  • Reducing the distance your goods have to travel
  • Reducing the amount of material you use
  • Offset carbon footprints in other areas of the supply chain
