The delay detector is part of Anvyl IQ, the extension of the Anvyl platform that uses machine learning algorithms to provide insights about your orders.
This feature anticipates order delays and shows these predictions when in the order detail view for a specific purchase order.
The solution leverages a proprietary supervised learning model that understands the characteristics of both on-time and delayed orders. When considering a new order, the algorithm compares it to hundreds of thousands of historical order scenarios.
Scenarios take into account many factors about the order, such as the historical relationship between the brand and the supplier, properties of the purchase order, user engagement, overall trends on the platform, and many more. To see how this is calculated, refer to this article.
A delay likelihood will appear for any orders that have been accepted by a supplier and have not yet been confirmed on track to ship, as shown below. The Delay Detector is not applied to any orders that have not been accepted or those that have been confirmed to ship on schedule. It's important to note this as the milestone, Pre-Shipment has to be turned on:
Note: Everyone on the brand and supplier team will be able to see the delay likelihood for these orders. Collaborators that have been added to the order will not be able to see the delay likelihood.
