Automations Just Got Smarter: Streamlined Notification Settings for Milestones & Workflows

We’ve made important improvements to how automations are triggered—giving you more clarity and control over the updates that matter most.

Notification logic under My Account > Email Notifications now aligns with Order Assignees—so automations are smarter, more targeted, and easier to manage.

🎯 Why it matters:
As Anvyl has grown to support more advanced workflows, milestones, and assignee-based automation, we’ve updated the logic and UI to simplify setup—without sacrificing power.

💡 Example Use Case:
A brand admin can now create one universal workflow, assign a milestone owner (e.g., “All brand users”), and let each user’s Order Assignee setting determine which milestones they’re responsible for.
→ No need to duplicate workflows for different team members.
→ Notifications only go to users who are both assigned to the order and responsible for the milestone.

📬 Milestone Check-in Prompts:
These now also follow the Order Assignee logic—so they’re sent only to the right users at the right time.

A note on Supplier Logic:
Suppliers who are assigned as milestone owners will always receive milestone check-ins, since they're inherently tied to the order.

UI Improvements:
The Email Notifications section has been cleaned up to reflect this new logic—making it easier than ever to configure your automation rules.

New Customization: Add Order-Level Fields to Your PO Headers

We’ve added more flexibility to your Purchase Order templates, making it easier to highlight the most important order details—right where they belong.

🆕 What’s New:
You can now select up to 4 order-level custom fields to appear in the header section of your PO PDFs.

🎯 Why it matters:
This update allows your team to surface key information—such as internal references, customer codes, or project names—at the top of every PO, so suppliers don’t miss critical context.

How it works:

  • Navigate to Settings > Orders > PO Template

  • Use the new toggle column to mark custom fields as PO Header Fields

  • Select up to 4 fields (order-level only)

  • These fields will appear above the standard PO fields (like Ship By, Delivery By, and Payment Terms)
