Bulk editing parts and part-supplier links

Supply chain is a very dynamic industry and it's very common for unit prices to change. To do that effectively, update the entirety of your parts library and leverage our bulk editing feature that will read the part number and override the fields you wish to edit. 

To obtain the bulk download CSV:

1. Click the Global Action blue "+" button
2. Click Add part
3. At the base, download CSV for bulk adding parts

Bulk editing parts

1. When logged into the platform, click the Parts view dropdown.
2. Click on the Parts base
3. At the top of the view you have the option to Download CSV
4. Review the CSV and make the changes to the spreadsheet that you wish to update. Delete any rows that aren't useful.
   • These are the fields that you can bulk edit:
     • Part name
     • Part description
     • Part tags
     • UPC
     • ISBN
     • ASIN
     • HTS code
   • Part number cannot be changed in this view as the look-up is done against that unique identifier
5. Click Bulk edit
6. You will be asked if the first row contains column headers. Confirm Yes or No.
7. Match the appropriate column headers. Click Confirm mapping for each column you wish to update in the platform.
8. Click Review and verify if any errors need to be corrected or ignored.
   (Note: If you are editing a custom part attribute and receiving an error, please make sure the column header is an exact match to a custom part attribute that has already been added to the Parts library.)
9. Use the editor to make changes to your parts. Alternatively, if you prefer using Excel, you can make changes to the CSV file and then upload it.
   (Note: Blank cells will be interpreted as removing information.)
10. Click Continue.
11. Submit when ready.

Bulk editing part-supplier links

1. When logged into the platform, click the Parts view dropdown.
2. Click on the Part-suppliers link base
3. At the top, you have the option to Download CSV if not done already
4. Review the CSV and make the changes to the spreadsheet that you wish to update. Delete any rows that aren't useful.
   • Part number and Supplier name are required to establish the link between the two
   • These fields are editable in the upload
     • Supplier notes
     • Supplier part number
     • Units per master case
     • Master cases per pallet
     • Minimum order quantity
     • Part cost
     • Currency
     • Production lead time in days
     • Unit of measure
5. Click Bulk edit
6. You will be asked if the first row contains column headers. Confirm Yes or No.
7. Match the appropriate column headers. Click Confirm mapping for each column you wish to update in the platform.
